Perhaps the most popular gold bar in the world, the 1 oz. Credit Suisse gold bar is convenient for its discreet size and ease of storage and movement. It’s a smart investment also, as it demands a smaller premium over spot price when compared to gold coins. It is immensely liquid, and backed by the weight of one of the largest financial institutions in the world. Novice investors can feel comfortable and confident entering the precious metals investment market with this piece, joining innumerable experienced gold buyers and sellers as they do so.

1 troy ounce of 24 karat gold of 99.99% purity fits easily in the palm of your hand (measuring a little over an inch and a half in length and just under an inch in width), even with its protective plastic enclosure. The clear covering reveals the entire bar with the Credit Suisse logo on the front, below which you will see “1 oz FINE GOLD 999.9”, the assayer’s mark (written in French as ESSAYEUR FONDEUR, and CHI in a circle) which certifies the contents, and your bar’s unique registration number. The back of the bar shows the Credit Suisse logo again in a diagonal repeating pattern. The actual credit card size Assay Certificate with corresponding registration number is inside the packaging. The card shows the words Investment Product and Made in Switzerland.

The bar is minted by the world famous Valcambi Refinery as a standard investment tool for wealth protection so it shows a minimum of adornment as is found on art bars or coins that are prized by collectors and hobbyists.
