The 2022 Silver Maple Leaf features the iconic maple leaf designed by Master Engraver Walter Ott in 1979. To this day, the design remains in use on all Maple Leaf bullion coins. The national symbol of Canada is surrounded by the words ‘CANADA’, ‘FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR’ and ‘9999’ on either side.
The obverse includes the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief, with her name ‘ELIZABETH II’ above and the denomination ‘5 DOLLARS’ and year ‘2022’ below.
All 2022 SML bullion coins include enhanced security features: radial lines, a micro-engraved maple leaf and BULLION DNA Anti-Counterfeiting Technology.
